and Buildings Division - Information about the
ICC free online eCodes version of the Enrolled Wisconsin Commercial
Building Code
The
International Code Council and the Safety and Buildings Division of the
Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services work together to produce paper and
electronic copies of the Wisconsin Enrolled Commercial Building Code,
Comm 61-65.
The Enrolled Code is a combination of the Wisconsin Commercial Building
Code and the adopted provisions of International Code Council model
codes.
(The current Enrolled Code does not include the January 1, 2005 Comm
61-65 code revisions. Revisions pages for the 2005 Enrolled Code
are
available here.)
The ICC now has a free electronic copy of the Enrolled Code
online. An electronic CD copy is also available for purchase
from
ICC and does have some advantages in terms of ease of use.
Here is a link to the ICC free online eCodes version of the Wisconsin
Enrolled Commercial Building Code. The Safety and
Buildings Division
does not provide technical support for the eCodes; in other words,
don’t call S&B with questions about how to make the
eCodes
systems work. You
may need several sessions of use of the
eCodes system to understand it. You may find you need to hit
“refresh,” or totally get out of your browser and
start
over, re-entering the system.

to find the Enrolled Code in the
eCodes system.
Start here, http://www.ecodes.biz/.
- Select “Free eCodes”
- Select “Wisconsin”
- Either register as a user or Select “Returning
User”
- Select “Wisconsin”
- There will appear a box on the left side of the screen. It
will
show a page icon and the word “Wisconsin”
underlined. Select the icon.
- You will see another icon and “2002 Wisconsin Enrolled
Commercial Building Code” underlined. This is the
start of
the eCodes stepladder presentation structure.
