Safety and Buildings Division Passenger Ropeways Program

The Safety and Buildings Division establishes and enforces standards to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public for aerial tramways, aerial lifts, surface lifts, and rope tows. Plans are reviewed for new installations of tramways, ski lifts, and ski tows. Consultation and inspections are provided to ensure safe operation.
