S&B Rental Energy Efficiency Weatherization Program

The Safety and Buildings Division administers certification of rental units for compliance with minimum energy efficiency standards. Procedures have been established for inspectors certified by the division. Education and consultation on energy efficiency are offered.

Here is a link to search the properties listed in the Rental Weatherization database that were certified since 1997, or that have unsatisified stipulations or waivers. Owners and others can use it to determine if the property has been certified or if it has an unsatisfied stipulation or waiver. Note that near the bottom of the page there is a checkbox that allows you to chose to download a "comma separated value" file for a whole county. The CSV file may be saved to be used in a spreadsheet program to sort for unsatisfied stipulations or waivers (sort on status for "A," active). Larger county files may take some time to download.
