New Wis. Admin. Code Changes Effective October 1, 2015
Multiple
changes became effective on October 1, 2015 for Real Estate Brokers in Ch.
REEB 12 and Ch.
REEB 25. These changes established new application requirements and new
continuing education requirements for Real Estate Salespersons.
Please
note: If you are issued a license after October 1, 2022, you are exempt
from completing the required CE for only the December 14, 2022 renewal
(per the rule change that became effective on October 1, 2015). Any license
issued prior to October 1, 2022 is required to complete CE for the
December 14, 2022 renewal.
For the 2021-2022 Biennium, all license holders are required
to complete 18 hours of approved continuing education. The 18 hours must
include completion of 3 hours for each of the 6 required course topics. Continuing
education providers must offer 3 modules within each of the 6 required courses.
Licensees may complete any of the 3 modules offered with a provider for one of
the 6 courses. Please see the 2021-2022 Real Estate Curriculum outline form and
the course provider application form for details on the required modules and
the 6 required course topics. For the 2021-2022 Biennium, elective requirements are not part of the 18 required hours.
For the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 Biennium, all license holders are required to complete 18 hours of approved continuing education. The 18 hours must include completion of 12 hours of mandatory courses and 6 hours of elective courses. Please see the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 Real Estate Curriculum Outline and the course provider application form for details on the required and elective course topics.
CE Requirements
Licensees are required to complete 18 hours of continuing education. Each licensee must complete 12 hours of mandatory content and 6 hours of elective content. Courses must be preapproved by the Wisconsin Real Estate Examining Board.
Biennium from 12/15/even – 12/14/even year.

Forms for Educators
Course approval applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the first date the course will be offered.
Providers need to submit a new application for courses to be offered during the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 biennium. There are no course renewals.
