30 hours of continuing education approved by the National Society of Genetic Counselors are required each biennium prior to the renewal deadline (10/31/odd year). A current certification with the American Board of Genetic Counseling can be applied to the renewal in lieu of the 30 hour requirement.
Biennium from 11/1/odd year – 10/31/odd year. NOTE: The continuing education requirements do not apply to the biennium when the license was first issued.
