The 2% Fire Dues Appeals Board is created under Wis. Admin. Code § SPS 314.01(14)(e)5 to advise the Department on matters relating to fire due appeals as set forth in
Wis. Stat. § 101.573 and
§ 101.575, and Wis. Admin. Code § SPS 314.01(14)(e).

The members of the 2% Fire Dues Appeals Board are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Secretary of the Department of Safety and Professional Services. The Board consists of 1 volunteer fire chief, 1 paid fire chief, 1 fire inspector, 1 volunteer firefighter, 1 paid firefighter, 1 representative of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, and 1 representative of the Wisconsin Towns Association.
