Real Estate Examining Board

The Real Estate Examining Board is created under Wis. Stat. § 15.405(11m) and has authority as outlined in Wis. Stat. ch. 452.


The Real Estate Examining Board shall consist of seven members appointed to staggered 4-year terms. Five of the members shall be real estate brokers or salespersons licensed in this state. Two members shall be public members. No member may serve more than 2 terms.

The Real Estate Examining Board recently approved revisions to the WB-36 Buyer ​Agency Agreement and the creation of a new form WB-39 Tenant Representation Agreement. The optional use date is 7/1/2023 and the mandatory use date is 9/1/2023.
