License Information

Per Wis. Stat. § 440.08 (2), the required renewal date for the Cosmetology Establishment credential is 03/31/odd years.  Should you receive your initial credential in the months leading up to this date, you are still required to renew your license by the statutorily defined date.

A person who is not licensed under Wis. Stat. 454.06 by the cosmetology examining board may own or operate an establishment, but may not practice barbering, cosmetology, aesthetics, electrology, or manicuring. A person who owns a cosmetology establishment shall employ at least one person as a manager who holds a cosmetology license and manages the establishment on a full-time basis. The manager of a cosmetology establishment shall ensure that the establishment operates in compliance with Wisconsin statutes and rules promulgated by the examining board.
