​ Now Live for Trades Credentials and Renewals!


All initial, reinstatement, and renewal applications for a Trades credential must now be made through LicensE, your online, self-guided licensing platform.

  • To apply for a license or renew your license, go to license.wi.gov.
  • For those renewing in LicensE for the first time or looking for more information about LicensE, including exams, refer to the “Trades LicensE Information" document.
  • Please review the LicensE Applicant User Guide for help.

We are transitioning our forms to an online platform, AccessGov, that meets Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidance. You will be able to submit some forms directly within the platform, while some may require you to download as a PDF and upload to another system. As of May 6th, 2026, all forms must be completed using the AccessGov system.  Please follow the instructions on each form to ensure proper submission.


Manufactured Homes Community applications, including renewals are processed in LicensE (license.wi.gov). 

If you have an active license and are unable to access your account, please submit a support ticket. To submit a support ticket, visit LicensE and click on “Request Support” at the top of the page. 

Please ensure the ticket contains the following:

  • Subject - MHC or Manufactured Home Community or some item that easily identifies manufactured home community.
  • Description
    • MHC name
    • MHC Permit Number
    • Last 4 of FEIN/SSN
    • Any other identifying information

If you are trying to obtain an initial license, or need to reinstate (permit expired more than 2 years).

  • Go to license.wi.gov
  • Click on “Register an organization”
    • Go through the process of creating an organizational account
    • Please note – each account requires a unique email. If, after creating the account, you want to update the email, you will need to upload a written statement to your application indicating what you want it to be.
  • Once the account is created and you are logged in click on “Apply for a License”
  • Category = Manufactured Homes
  • License Types = Manufactured Home Communities
  • Click Next
  • Select “Reinstatement After 2 Years” and select Next
  • You will then go through the application process
Failure to enter the items as indicated above, for either situation, may result in delayed processing.​

Paper applications will result in the applicant being contacted to submit an application online.

License Information​

A license is required if there are three or more manufactured homes are located on a plot or plots of ground. To be licensed as a manufactured home community, the licensee must submit an application packet and meet the requirements set forth in Wis. Admin. Code ​ch. SPS 326.
