Application by Reciprocity/Endorsement may be an option for a professional who holds a license in another state or jurisdiction.

Reciprocity/Endorsement applications require a detailed comparison of the originating state’s licensure requirements (or permissible services for cosmetology-related licenses) to Wisconsin’s requirements.  In the table below, you will find a list of out-of-state licenses for which the Department or applicable regulatory board has determined reciprocity or endorsement is not available.

If you are seeking reciprocity/endorsement for a license/state listed below, your application for reciprocity/endorsement will be denied. You may, however, apply via a different method (e.g., exam).

PLEASE NOTE:  Just because a license/state is not listed below does not mean an application by reciprocity or endorsement will be granted.  It may indicate a comparison of the originating state’s licensure requirements to Wisconsin’s requirements may not yet have been completed.
