The Hearing and Speech Examining Board is created under
Wis. Stat. § 15.405(6m) and has authority as outlined in
Wis. Stat. ch. 459.
Members
The members of the Hearing and Speech Examining Board are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Legislature to serve 4-year terms. The Board consists of three hearing instrument specialist members, one otolaryngologist member, two audiologist members, two speech-language pathologist members, and two public members one of which is required to be a hearing aid user.

The Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC) Commission has scheduled a Special Commission Meeting on Monday, June 29, 2025 at 1 p.m., EDT.
At this meeting, the commission will review and vote on a proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Operating Budget for ASLP-IC, and review and vote on the rules listed above.
The participation and engagement of voting delegates during the full ASLP-IC Commission Meetings is necessary. The commission cannot conduct official business without a quorum present. Additional meeting information will be shared soon.
