Psychologist Exam Information

Complete the following required examination components:

  1. EPPP Part 1 Exam
  2. Jurisprudence Exam/Wisconsin Statutes and Rules Examination


Please note: You will receive authorization and instructions for both exams upon initial review of a submitted application.

Scores: Official scores must be received directly from exam officials. Please do not upload score confirmation to your application.


EPPP:

Examination for the Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)

I need to take the EPPP Part 1 exam.

  1. Log into your LicensE account and view your due diligence checklist for authorization information.
  2. Look for an email from ASPPB (be sure to check your junk mail) and follow up directly with ASPPB to schedule an exam date.

Already taken the EPPP Part 1 in another state?

  1. Request an official score transfer report from ASPPB
  2. ASPPB will send the official score transfer to DSPS

I took the exam. Now what?

  1. DSPS must receive official exam scores directly from ASPPB.
  2. If you need to retake the exam:
    1. Log into your LicensE, click on My Applications and Contract Exam Fee to pay the $15 retake fee
    2. Log into your ASPPB account and submit a retake request
    3. You will receive an email with next steps directly from ASPPB when your retake has been authorized.

 ​​How do I request an extension?
  1. Log into your LicensE account and submit a Support Ticket by clicking “Request Support" at the top of the screen. Provide a detailed description.

Jurisprudence Exam/Wisconsin Statutes and Rules Exam:

The state written examination on the elements of practice essential to the public health, safety or welfare is a computer-based test on the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code relating to the practice of Psychology. 

Applicants for a Psychologist license must receive a score of 80% to pass. 

Content

The exam content is drawn from applicable state statutes and administrative code chapters specific to the profession. The purpose of the exam is to familiarize yourself with locating the statutes and administrative code that regulate the practice of the profession. State of Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code for the profession can be found under the Additional Resources section on this page.

The test questions are drawn from the following Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code:

  • PSY 1 - 10.53%
  • PSY 2 – 1.32%
  • PSY 4 – 18.42%
  • PSY 5 – 68.32%
  • Statute Chapter 51 – 1.32%

Instructions

  1. Go to https://eptol.drl.wi.gov/.
  2. Select "Test Launching."
  3. If you are unable to access the exam, try again later or refresh your browser.
  4. The exam is not timed. You may exit and return to the test any time over the next 3 months. Exit by clicking the “X" at the top right hand corner of any screen.
  5. Do not click “Done" until you are ready to submit the exam. If you accidentally click done before you are ready to submit your exam, just go back in and start again. Your first score will be deleted.

Print out a copy of your score report and retain it for your own records. ​
